Saturday, January 6, 2018

First Lady and Minister of Education and Sports Hon. Janet Museveni has urged the party leadership in Ruhaama Constituency to desist from any diversionary issues but instead focus on earning NRM a landslide victory in the by-elections scheduled for next Thursday.

Mrs Museveni who also doubles as Ntungamo NRM district Chairperson warned against sectarian politics based on religion or tribes and preached at length about unity and voting NRM for continued service delivery.

The First Lady was on Thursday meeting Ruhaana party leadership at her country home in Rwakitura, Kiruhura district.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Moses Kahima Mugabe the NRM official flag bearer in the four-man race and five of his losers in the primaries. They included Ntale Adens, Rwamanywa Johnson, Dr. Bazinzi Nantamba, Tom Rwomushana and Pamela Owembabazi.

Speaking at the same meeting, Deputy Attorney General Hon Mwesigwa Rukutana took the party leaders through their constitution and urged them to adhere to the decision of the majority.

Rukutana said the Ruhaama people chose their flag bearer without any external interference and called upon them to keep voting NRM on January 11.
