Remain calm, SG Lumumba tells Jinja voters

Saturday, March 10, 2018

"Wake up early enough on March 15 to vote but observe peace and remain calm before, during and after the elections".

This was part of the message by the NRM Secretary General Rt. Hon Justine Kasule Lumumba as she tranversed the areas of Masese in Jinja East Constituency this Saturday afternoon to drum up support for Nathan Igeme Nabeta.

Accompanied by the State Minister for Cooperatives Hon Gume Ngobi, the SG has warned the party members against engaging themselves into any acts of hooliganism but instead be vigilant and report any wrong doers to the authorities.

Lumumba has also assured voters of the government commitment to protect them against any form of violence during the electoral period.

She disclosed that the NRM government was considering giving out Masese landing site area to the current occupants for further development and urged them to start forming development groups based on shares.

The party leader will remain camped here until the end of the exercise.
