President Yoweri Museveni, the Commander in Chief of the armed forces, yesterday officiated the pass out ceremony of 18 pilot cadets and 20 aeronautical graduates in Gulu Airforce wing.
The President was delighted by their exceptional performance and also urged the graduates to indoctrinate themselves with the four values of integrity, service above self, excellence and patriotism in order for them to succeed professionally and in life.
He pledged government’s continued commitment towards the improvement of infrastructure in the army and country at large. “Government will continue to improve infrastructure, for instance our plan to construct 30,000 housing units for the UPDF is already underway, we also plan to upgrade Gulu airport to a level where it can accommodate commercial aircrafts. This will boost tourism and trade.” The President said.
