NRM takes Ruhaama campaigns to Rwanda border

NRM flag bearer in the ongoing by-election for Ruhaama Constituency, Ntungamo district Moses Kahima Mugabe has asked the electorates to support his candidature for guaranteed government service delivery.


Kahima, a professional Accountant formerly working with Shema District Local Government reminded the voters that they needed an MP who will rhyme well with the government in power to ensure more services in the area. "And there is no better choice than myself, an NRM flag bearer before u here", he appealed to a visibly excited audience that kept chatting his name.


Kahima was on Wednesday campaigning in Kafunzo-Mirama Town Council bordering Rwanda. Its about 40Kms from Ntungamo district headquarters.


Meanwhile, the campaigns have taken a new twist with party members embarking on village to village meetings to canvass for the party support.


The members are split into two mobile groups with the first one being led by Mr. James Tweheyo a CEC member and Fred Bamwesigye from the office of the NRM District Chairperson and First Lady Hon Janet Museveni.


The second group has the NRM District Vice Chairperson Mr. Asiimwe Rutahweire Evans and Johnson Nkirirehi, the office Administrator in Ntungamo among others. The candidate however continues with his separate meetings.


The teams meet the 30 members of the party structures and selected opinion leaders among other categories.


Ruhaama goes to polls in January 11 to elect their new MP following the death of Hon William Beijukye Zinkuratire in October last year.
