Namayanja urges parents to invest in education of their children

The NRM National Treasurer, Rose Namayanja Nsereko has called upon parents to secure the future of their children by investing in their education.

 

"There is no better investment given to our children other than education because you can't determine their fate," Namayanja said.

 

Hon Namayanja made the call yesterday while officiating at the ground breaking ceremony of Butalangu Public Primary School in Nakaseke district.

 

The school construction is being undertaken by Building Tomorrow Uganda, an NGO. The school will be equipped with seven classrooms, library, staff room, head teachers office and a nursery section.

 

Namayanja pledge furniture worth Sh6million to the school upon its completion. She thanked the district leadership for making the construction a possibility. The district Town Council provided four Acres of land on which the construction is ongoing.

 

Butalangu Primary School is the 5th school in the country and the 4th in Nakaseke to be built by the NGO.

 

The Country Director Building Tomorrow Uganda, Joseph Kaliisa commended government for prioritizing education which has made their calling a reality.

 

"We are grateful to the education ministry and the district leadership for the partnership we have in ensuring that children have permanent and safe educational infrastructure." Kaliisa said.
