The NRM 1st National Vice National Chairman, Al Hajji Moses Kigongo together with the Party Secretary General, Rt. Hon. Richard Todwong, today, Wednesday paid a courtesy call to the Supreme Mufti of Uganda, Sheikh Muhammed Shaban Galabuzi at his office in Kibuli.
After a closed-door engagement with Sheikh Galabuzi, SG Todwong informed the press that their purpose was to engage with the leadership, express gratitude for their positive impact on the community, and explore opportunities for collaboration in social and economic development.
Todwong emphasized the common interests of both parties in improving the well-being of ordinary people, stating, "We realized as leaders that we share similar goals in serving the community and enhancing their living conditions."
He mentioned discussions on various government projects and how different institutions could benefit from these initiatives.
Similar interactions had taken place with officials from the Buganda Kingdom and Kampala Archdiocese, and Todwong expressed the intention to visit more institutions, aiming to align their leadership goals with the broader objective of improving the lives of ordinary citizens.
The Director of Communication and Research in the Office of the Supreme Mufti, Dr. Muhammed Kiggundu, said the Supreme Mufti was glad to receive the two NRM principals.
“We had very fruitful discussions, and we hope to forge a better way of enhancing relations as we all strive to improve the communities of our people,” Dr Kiggundu said.
